Weekend Recap...Complete with Pictures!

So this weekend the hubs, Ladybug and I went to my Mema and Papa John's house on Lake Martin. We headed up Friday night and came home on Monday. My parents were also there as were my sister and her boyfriend. On Sunday we had a ton of people come up and hang out at the dock, go for boat rides and eat some of my dad's world famous (these things are DAMN GOOD) ribs. It was a great weekend! Here are some pics form the adventure:

This is the ladybug and the hubs. I took this Sunday afternoon after she had spent about 10 hours in the water!

This is the "group" on Saturday...(from L to R) the hubs, Ladybug, my mom, my dad, the sister and her boyfriend....notice the beers in everyone's hand?

This is the hubs and the ladybug.....

My dad driving and the hubs drinking!

My dad and the ladybug....check out how long her hair is!

My dad...

The ladybug.....

Me & the ladybug (damn, I look like I'm struggling a bit here)

If she wasn't in the lake, then she was in her pool.....

We had a great time! So much so that this weekend the hubs and I and some friends are heading up there again....but this time the ladybug is staying with my parents!

Maintain Your Insanity....

Because I left my camera at home today, I can't post any pics of my weekend trip to the lake. I will say that the weather was hot and beautiful and the trip itself was a much needed break. We had a wonderful time, and I think I am still wringing my child out from the massive amount of time she spent in the water of the weekend! She is such a water baby! Anyway, I hope each of you had a wonderful and safe Holiday weekend, that you all said a little "thank you" to everyone that has fought for our freedom and that you all got to spend your Holiday time doing what you wanted. I'll recap more tomorrow and post pics.

I'm Heading Here

This is a picture of the lake that we are heading to for Memorial Day Weekend. We are going there tonight sometime. We've still go to load up the car and get everything together, but we decided we'd rather wake up there tomorrow morning than have to get up and drive. It's only about an hour a way, but you know, isn't it always nicer to wake up somewhere other than your own bed?

On Holiday weekends you can walk from one side of the lake to the other, and never step foot on water, that's how many boats flock to this particular point on the lake. It's where people who don't have lake houses go in their boats. Personally, I'm glad my grandparents have a place. We'll cruise over here and spend some time, but at least we have a home on the lake that isn't a boat. Look...the picture could be titled "Redneck Yacht Club".
I love it up here though.....I can't wait to be there already. Working is a distraction at this point. Woo-hoo Summer is here! Show me the water baby!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday weekend....stay safe and drink one for me! (I'm sure I'll have plenty!)

Hooray For Me!

All by my little self, I figured out how to fix all the errors I created yesterday on my blog! I even added video and more links. I am so proud of me, because believe me I am a computer idiot! But lookie......I did it all by myself!

Yay!

I'll post more later, because frankly I'm having a hard time concentrating on work when we are headed to the lake in like 6 hours for the entire weekend. My mind, well it's already riding on the boat and sipping a cold one!

Who brought the idiot?

Ok, Someone please help me....I am a blogging idiot and I've screwed up eveything! I lost all my links and even the page you type on is wrong, I've lost the colors option and ugh! Please help! Leave a comment on how I can contact you, because seriously, my blog, it needs help! NOW!

Who's Got Soul?

Well lookie here! I didn't have to pitch a hissy fit after all!
TAYLOR HICKS WINS AMERICAN IDOL!!!!!

SOUL PATROL! SOUL PATROL! SOUL PATROL!

***************

Now on to some other things:

1. The creepy guy singing with Clay Aiken. Hello? Can you say stalker?

2. Prince-WOW! What a surprise!

3. Puck & Pickler-I loved this for some reason!

I could recap more, but hell if you didn't watch it then you don't care!

****************

And one more thing, please say a little prayer for our friends J&C"s mom & dad. She took C to the doctor on Tuesday for his 6 month check up and they found out that C has a heart murmur. It is serious enough that her pediatrician referred them to a pediatric cardiologist. They don't go until the end of June, so naturally she is freaking out. Please, pray for them that this is nothing serious. Thanks.

Thank You Tivo

Ok, tonight is a "Thank GAWD for TIVO night". Why? Well because for starters I have a meeting at 6:30 that will probably run long. Secondly, it is the last singing night for American Idol. Can't miss that. Thirdly (and I'm not even sure thirdly is a word) it is the Academy of Country Music Awards. What's a girl to do? My current plan is to go to the meeting and hope we get done at a decent hour, head home and watch AI. Then, if it isn't entirely too late for me, I will begin watching the ACMs. I can fast forward through the crap I care nothing about. If it is too late for me, well then I'll watch the ACM's on another night because I can't watch them tomorrow night because of the finale of American Idol. I'm going to watch it with my sister. But I have to watch tonight and while I am watching the voting lines will be open and I can vote for Taylor. Listen up Taylor Hicks fans..........get out and VOTE! That little slut McPheebe is going to try to turn it up and get the "hound" vote so you have got to VOTE VOTE VOTE for Taylor! He is the next American Idol, but it is up to you to make sure to it! I do not want to see McPheebe as the next American Idol. Do you understand?

On another note, I had a blast at our camping trip on Saturday. I got extremely drunk, which I guess is the only way I was going to make it out in the wilderness. We had a blast though! I do have pictures and I will post them sometime this week...I promise! I am much more excited about this upcoming weekend though. We are going to the lake on Saturday and staying until Monday and here we will have indoor plumbing and most importantly.......as shower! I plan on spending as much time as is humanly possible out on the boat. We will have the ladybug with us, but lucky me, she's as much of a water lover as I am! This weekend...if anybody needs me, just look for the boat!

Why am I not surprised?

That according to this quiz, I am her......I am so much like her.

Which Grey's Anatomy character are you?

I'm just glad it didn't say I was Meredith! (other than the fact that she gets to do McDreamy).....and OMG that love scene....

This Post Brought to You by the Letter "G"

Ok, so this week when I really should have been working, I stumbled across a couple of new blogs that I am really liking. One them is the Adams Family and the other is Renee's. From Renee, I got this cool little number. Leave her a comment and she'll assign you a letter (leave the comment on her blog). You then take the letter and come up with 10 things that start with that letter. I went for stuff that was relative to me. Coming up with 10 things relative to me required some creativity on my part. If you want to play along, go visit Renee. She'll email you a letter. If you play, please let me know...I'd love to check out your blogs. Let Renee know as well.

Ok, so on to the post brought to you by the letter "G":

1. This is my little Girl, the ladybug. This picture was taken Easter Sunday. Isn't she beautiful?

2. This is my Grammy......she was diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer in February. I am so thankful that she is still here with us and doing remarkably well.
And a little creativity for number 3. Good Friends-these are our best friends J&C's mom and dad. We hang with them a LOT!
4. Gas-or the rapidly rising price of it to be exact! Man, when you live out like we do, your gas bill is now huge! This is what it was about a week ago here.
5. More creativity-Genes, these are my parents. I guess I get my good genes from them!
6. Glass-this is a candle holder that I have on my coffee table. It came from Partylite. I am addicted to Partylite.
7. Glutton-this is my FAT dog, Mollie. She is a glutton!
8. Gyser-this is Old Faithful in Yellowstone. I've actually been here. I have picture of the hubs and I in front of it, but that was pre digital camera days and I don't have a decent scanner here at work, so you get a picture from their website.

9. Gifts-I love gifts! I got a new watch for Mother's Day. My favorite gift is green....as in money!

10. Green-My favorite color!

This was fun, let me know if you decide to play along!

SOUL PATROL! SOUL PATROL!

Woo-Hoo! Soul Patrol! Soul Patrol! Soul Patrol!

Ok, so my guy is in the Final Two. And he is up against the McPheebe. The one that I can't figure out why I don't like, but I just don't like. And how about their home visits last night? Did you see the crowd that the 'Ham turned out? My boys,
Rick and Bubba were on tv.....they couldn't stop talking about it this am on their daily radio show, and wow....that mall where her performed? That is one HUGE mall, but I have never seen it packed quite like that! 12,000 people or something like that, packed into that place all in support of Taylor Hicks! I could not believe how close the votes were, I just hope all the Elliott voters will realize that Taylor has basically the same style and will switch their votes over to him. On another note, do you realize that Taylor is the 3rd AI contestant to make it to the Final Two that is from Birmingham, Alabama? I guess they breed them there! Way to go Bama Guys! Gotta keep it real and cheer for the home team! Luckily for me, I've like all of them. I can't say I was as behind Bo Bice as I am Taylor and I was for Reuben, but still, 3 people from one city? That's pretty cool huh? Anyway, Taylor fans....please get out and "rock the vote" next Tuesday night......

*******************************************
On another note, I think the Ladybug is pooped and I can't figure out why. She had a total and complete mental melt down last night in the bathtub. She ended up in the bed and asleep by 7:45 which is about 30 minutes earlier than normal for her. Then, as is par for the course for the past week or so, she slept fitfully. We were up every hour or so with her. What is going on? I don't think she is napping as well at daycare as she should be, but since her teacher is never still there by the time I pick her up I can't ask. There are some issues going on with her daycare center, but since she is starting preschool (oh my...big girl school is just over the horizon) in the fall, I don't want to upset her too much and move her twice in a 3 month period so we are just toughing it out. Her allergies have also been up in arms lately and she is coughing and sneezing A LOT! We went to the doctor who assured me that it was just allergies and prescibed some medicine for her (Zyrtec). Since Ladybug is an only child, I need some advice. What could be going on with her? Any suggestions? Please HELP! I can't survive on the amount of sleep the hubs and I have been getting each night. Is this just a "phase"?
******************************************************
One more final thought, the hubs and I are going camping with my parents this weekend at our farm in East Alabama. Here's the funny part............I.DON'T.CAMP. I don't sleep on the ground. So, the sis and I have devised a plan. Her b/f is going with us as well and her and I are going to sleep in the back of the Explorer and let them take the tent. We think it is a great idea! We do this thing every year, but somehow I've managed to wrangle out of actually having to spend the night there. It's a big family fish fry event, where technically you are supposed to catch the fish from the pond, but we always end up eating catfish that my mom brought from the store. We do fish and we do drink and it's a big ol country redneck party. Yeah, I'm red. But, I.DON'T.CAMP. So, since the hubs finally convinced me to spend the night, and since the Ladybug is staying at the SIL house, we're camping. Our something like that. I'll be in the back of the car if anyone needs me.

A Ladybug Quote

Last night the Ladybug and I were watching American Idol, and we had been chatting about different things while it was on. I was trying to get some PSL stuff done and she was busy doing her own "work" at the coffee table. When Taylor Hicks was singing, I asked her something about her day and she said "Mama, I can't talk right now, Taylor is signing".

They Killed Denny...

Ok, so thanks to the miracle that is DVR, I was able to record Grey's Anatomy because I could not watch it on Sunday or on Monday. So last night I sat down to get some stuff done (laundry and some stuff for that women's organization that I belong to) and watch the show. I did stop midway to catch American Idol. The Ladybug did some "work" also so that mommy could get caught up on hers. Let me just say that I cannot BELIEVE that they killed Denny. After everything that had been going on I wanted that story line to go further. I was not happy when he died! And what is up with Meredith going back to McDreamy? He called her a WHORE...what decent woman would go back to someone after they called them a whore? Ugh! Not happy with where that went! Other than that love scene...OMG......did you see the way he LOOKED at her? I realize that it's just a television show...but I was not entirerly happy with the way it all played out in the 3 hour season finale. I guess I'll have to wait until next season to see where everything goes. And I read this morning that they are moving it to Thursdays next season opposite CSI. Thank GAWD for the miracle that is DVR!

And on American Idol, gee what can I say, final 3 and they were all amazing. Personally, I'd like to see Kat get the boot tonight, though as long as it isn't Taylor, I shall be happy.

I don't really have much else to say today, I'm glad it's Wednesday and this week is almost over. It's been creeping by and I'm tired. I also woke up with a sore throat this morning which is NOT COOL! It is also just about time for Aunt Flo to make her visit, which added to the fact that I am tired and I don't feel well, well that just makes me one major B-I-T-C-H. No wonder the hubs won't be home until late tonight, I don't think I'd want to be around me either. I'm hoping that we can get home, eat some supper and then take baths and go to bed. I just hope that the Ladybug is down with that plan.

And She's Pregnant Again

Ok, this morning on the Today show, I saw another story surrounding around Britney Spears "great" parenting skills. It seems this moron was photographed driving around in her convertible with son Sean P in the back seat. At least this time he was actually in the car seat, however the car seat was forward facing. Hmm...now isn't the law that they have to be rear facing until they are a year old or so many pounds? I'm fairly certain that this child was neither. And he was so slumped over in the car seat that I find it hard to believe that he was actually even buckled in. People, if I see your riding in my town with your child not in a car seat, I will (and have) call the police on your ass. However, despite photographic evidence that she was clearly violating the law, the law says "because we did not personally witness the event, we cannot do anything about it". How 'bout another trip to her home? How 'bout checking out her and the Kfed's parenting skills just a little bit. And here she is knocked up again. I'm sorry, I just will not and cannot tolerate this abuse of a child. Because in my eyes that is exactly what it is. What if she had a wreck? What would have happened to her "precious" child then? Personally, I think that baby #1 was a publicity stunt and baby #2 is an attempt to save her marrige. Here's a thought Britney, babies are not publicity stunts and they will not save a marriage. Good luck hun, cause you are going to need it.

I wish I could have found a link to this story. I'll keep looking and hopefully post one later. So what do you think? Am I alone in this opinion? Should she really be allowed to be a mommy to one baby, let alone two?

Monday Madness

Just because I can play yet another game (hey, it keeps me from having to think of a great post on my own, and because it's Monday and my brain ain't working...this is what you get)

"Borrowed" this one from The Kid Zoo, another one of the great blogging chicks! Here it is...Monday Madness......

Fill in the blanks:

If I could change ONE thing from this past weekend, it would be____________.
Not a thing. I had a great mother's day weekend with my family.

One of my favorite recipes includes____________. Poppyseed chicken casserolle. A favorite at Manic Mommie's house.

If things don't go as originally planned, I tend to__________. Unfortunatly, get aggitated. I'm such a "planner" that when things break off that track, I get upset. As a mom though, I'm working on this because nothing EVER goes according to plan with a 3 year old!

My daily routine is very__________. Much the same Monday thru Friday. I tend to not have a routine on the weekends....

The one television show I will probably miss, since the season is coming to an end is________. Grey's Anatomy. I think I may suffer some symptoms. Paging Dr. McDreamy to my rescue!

I have a calendar hanging / sitting on my_________. desk, but it's a day planner and I take it everywhere with me. If something is supposed to take place and I am expected to be in attendance, make sure you see me write it on that calender...if I don't, then it doesn't exist!

I'm really ____ about changing the calender when the day / month changes. Anal. I cross off each day once it's done.

Go to mmadness.blogspot.com to let her know if you participated.....

I'll try to find some original thoughts soon, and quit stealing (or borrowing) games.

You are all tagged.

It's Monday....time for a Lizzie Quizzie!

Ok, as I stated on Friday, I will steal a game, I will play it whether you want me to or not...so here goes, and actually I've played this one before:

It's a Lizzie Quizzie....from Lizzie over at Stopping Traffic:

What is the best memory you have of your mother? I'm fortunate that my mom is still with me, but the best memory I have of her is that every summer, me, mom and my sister head to the beach for a girls only trip. Sometimes others have joined us, sometimes it has been just the three of us, either way we always have a blast. I always look forward to our "Girls Only Weekend" beach trip and we are currently planning this years edition. She already bought us cute flip flop picture frames!

What are three things you inherited from your mom? (free range) My dad says I got being a smart ass from her; I learned how to be a great mom from her, and I'm still working on it, but boy did I have one kick ass example; and finally, I got her wedding china. I wanted it and she went ahead and gave it to me.

Did you honor your mother this weekend? I did and I honor her everyday. My mother is my best friend.

How many weddings have you been in? How much did the last one cost you? I've been in 4 weddings. The last one was my sisters (and a total waste of time and money since we later found out that he was a douchebag and they are now divorced, but I digress) and I'm thinking it cost me (my dress, hub's tux, etc.) around $300.00. I guess that isn't too bad, but that's a guess, I've tried to block out all memories of her practice run.

How much to you typically spend on a present? Do you buy of the registry? Depends on who it is for, close friend, I don't consider price, distant relative or so, around $30.00 and I do usually try to buy of the registry if I can, however we were just invited to a wedding of a couple in our Sunday School class that I would not count as close friends and the cheapest thing on their registry was $75.00....so I did not buy off of it for them, since that was way more money than I had planned on spending!

What is the last thing you bought yourself? a couple of new shirts at Goody's.

Checks, check card, debit card, credit card or cash? Check card and credit card mostly. I try not to spend more than $500.00 a month on the credit card, so that I can pay it off each month....and that is the limit on my credit card. Of course as someone who consistently pays the damn thing off the credit card company keeps trying to up my limit....they don't like people who do that!

On a scale from 1-10 how happy are you right now? about a 6. The hubs has been driving me crazy lately and I am beginning to hate my job....

Are you a responsible person? Absolutely. I believe that responsibility is part of a strong character, people trust responsible people.

Life is a _____________. To quote Forrest Gump "A box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get".

I tag everyone. Tag............YOU ARE IT! (and if you play, go let Lizzie know)

HAPPY MONDAY!

Friday Feast

And just because I am in a game playing, game stealing kinda mood today (and since I left my USB port at home so I couldn't play SPF, sorry Kristine), here is yet another stolen game.

I "borrowed" this one from Jules over at Everyday Mommy, another great Blogging Chick....

And now.......ladies and gentelmen (drumroll please) I present to you........FRIDAY FEAST!

Appetizer: What's your favorite flavor of ice cream? That would be Turtle Tracks by the great Mr. Mayfield.

Soup: What are three things you would like to put in a time capsule? The ladybugs Christening gown, because it was handmade by her Nana; today's newspaper, just so everyone would know what was going on in the world in 2006, whenever it is they open it; and finally, a cell phone that is of the highest technology available today, so when this time capsule is opened people will see how ancient it is....

Salad: Name something you are 100% sure of: That Jesus will be back. He will come back to get his children, we just don't know when, so we have to be ready.

Main Course: What is something you do to calm yourself when you're stressed or upset? Does taking a Xanex count?

Dessert: If you could receive an invitation to any important event, what would you like it to be? Either the Presidential Inaguration or the Oscars. Yeah, that's 2 events I know.

Let me know if you feasted!

The ABC's of Me....

I'm "borrowing" this from Pamela Lynn one of my fellow Blogging Chicks....

Here are the ABC's of Manic Mommie....

Accent: Totally southern belle....I was born and raised in Alabama and honey, I sound like it! I sometimes hate to hear myself on answering machines, because my accent is that bad!

Bible Book that I like: I can't say I have one favorite, though my favorite verse is the Love Chapter, 1 Corinthians.

Chore I don't care for: Cleaning the bathrooms and mopping. Someone please tell me how to get the hubs to help with these two horrible things!

Dog or Cat: Dog person all the way

Essential Electronics: Cell phone, digital camera, computer (wishing I had a laptop and an Ipod)

Favorite Cologne: Beautiful by Estee Lauder

Gold or Silver: definitely silver. I am fixing to have my wedding rings reset in white gold, I just prefer silver so much more.

Handbag I carry most often: My black Kate Spade purse. I spent a fortune for it and to make sure the hubs knows I got my moneys worth I usually always have it, besides black works with EVERYTHING!

Insomnia: Never. I can fall asleep anywhere and stay asleep, maybe I have narcolepsy.

Job Title: Administrative Assistant (which could basically mean shit cleaner upper)

Kids: Just the Ladybug....with no plans for anymore ladybugs...

Living arrangements: Me, the hubs, the Ladybug and our dog, Mollie

Most admirable trait: I'm easy to talk too and I listen well, which may be why I know all my friends great secrets.....and I don't tell them!

Naughtiest Childhood Behavior: I used to sneak out a lot.....

Overnight Hospital Stays: Just once when I had the Ladybug

Phobias: SNAKES

Quote: "The grass is always greener over the septic tank"~Manic Mommie

Religion: We are Methodists. I was raised in the church the hubs and I still attend. I believe though, that heaven isn't just for those who belong to organized religion.

Siblings: 1 younger sister

Time I wake up: The alarm goes off at 5:30, but I don't usually peel myself out of the bed until around 6:00.

Unusual Talent or Skill: well.......I can burp 1/2 of the alphabet, but I'm not sure that's a talent and there usually has to be beer involved.

Vegetable I refuse to eat: Turnip greens.......no mom, they are NOT good!

Worst Habit: I curse, sometimes A LOT!

X-Rays: does the dentist count? If no, then just once when hubs (he was sweet boyfriend at the time) threw me off a jet ski and I BROKE MY HAND because I hit the side of it HARD! (and yeah, I still bring that up from time to time)

Yummy Stuff I cook: Ok, its rare that I cook something not Hamburger Helper or Stoffers Lasagna, but I do make a killer chicken casserole.

Zoo Animal I like most: Elephants...Roll Tide!

Tag......You are it!

Sweet Home Alabama......

Ok, according to this quiz I am 91% Dixie......woo-hoo! Gotta love the South!

NO NO NO.....and some other things.....

Say it ain't so? America voted off Chris? Ya'll I am seriously distraught over this. I know that at this point in the game that anyone can go at any time, but I swear, I just didn't think it was his time. Thank GAWD that it wasn't Taylor.....then I'd seriously be distraught.

Anyway, I'm just not cool with the fact that Chris is gone. Yeah sure he was a good singer, but ya'll more than that he was HOT. VERY HOT. And now, what do I have to look at? NOTHING! I mean, I love Taylor, but let's get real, his hotness factor? Not so much. Anyway.....if you don't want the same fate that happened to Chris to happen to Taylor then next week you need to VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

More on crazy Britney Spears....I'm just still in UGH over the fact that she decided to have another kid with that gross man.........am I the only one? Britney, honey, you used to have so much going for you....you better pop that kid out and get back to touring honey, before the KFED spends every dime you ever had and leaves you high and dry with 2 "precious" rugrats.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh, how I wish I had a camera on my cell phone...I saw the ultimate FUG yesterday and I had no way to document it.....I can't even begin to describe this, why am I not more hip? Why do I not have a camera phone?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Happy Thursday everyone.......sometime in the future I promise I will get dance recital pics of the Ladybug up.....too cute! We have one more tomorrow night (tap and ballet) and it is even more precious than the gymnastics (or just plain nastics, as the Ladybug refers to it). Precious!

Is she crazy?

Ok, Britney Spears is knocked up again........and I just have issues with it. I just don't think that her and the KFED should produce any more spawn. I mean seriously, you can wade across their gene pool and just ugh.....

Anyway.....Britney....GET OUT NOW! Besides, after he had 2 kids with Shar didn't he run away? So dumping Brit (well ok so she's his meal ticket) might be next. And what is this like 3 kids in 2 years from this idiot?

Sick?

I am "sick" today........ok, really, I've got a million and one things going on this week and no time to do the other things that being a mom requires.....you know, clean house, do laundry, that sort of thing. So today I am sick. As in, I am sick of work. So, I called in and now I am doing that other stuff. I'll spend my entire day working, just not at my job! Therefore, because I am at home, there will be no TMI Tuesday or pictures posted today. I don't have time to deal with how long it would take to upload that shit from this computer. The country, its nice, but the internet sucks! I've heard that we should soon be able to get DSL through our sattelite, but it hasn't made its way here!

Happy Birthday Silly Sister!

Saturday was my sister's 24th birthday....Happy Birthday Sweetie! I love you!

This is her an dmy mom's dog.....since it's not the best picture, she'll probably kill me for posting it!

This is her and her boyfriend.....I think one day he'll be my new BIL.
This is me and her....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

Is it me?

This weekend, the dear hubs was well shall I, distant. I asked him more times than I'm sure he wanted me too what was wrong. I got "nothing" as a reply. He had to babysit all day on Saturday (and I mean all day, as in I left the house at 6:00 am and didn't meet up with them until 7:00 pm) so I thought maybe that was his deal. But no, he assured me he was not upset that I was gone all day. Which he shouldn't have been because he KNEW that I had this event (our town has an annual celebration each year, and the wonderful organization that I belong to sponsored a 5K race prior to it, hence the 6:00 am wake up call, and then I helped my cousin with the booth that she had for her store. He knew I was going to be out all day. We met up later to go bowling for my sisters birthday (Happy 24th sis). Then yesterday he was just weird. He had cleaned the house on Saturday, for which I thanked him over and over again, but he was just weird yesterday. I know it's probably not me, but how can I not wonder that it might be? Anyway, typically we "watch tv" together at least once over the weekend and he did not even attempt to try. I tried but I basically got shot down. What is up? Is it me?

Note: "watch tv" is code for doing the deed......

SPF Friday.....Just Random Stuff

Welcome to today's Stuff Portrait Friday! Courtesy of Christine over at Random and Odd....

This week she wanted:

1. A Body of Water-think big or small...it's up to you.
2. Something with Flavor-yes, another wide open one
3. Plant your Ass-where you park it.........

Here is our pond at our farm in Eastern Alabama. That's my dad and my Uncle T in the paddle boat........I think they were supposed to have been "fishing" but somehow I think they were just drinking!
Ed Note: It was just pointed out to me that their hats match! Ha! I never realized that. My dad and his brother are DORKS! (FYI...my dad is the one on the right)

Something with flavor.....this one was kinda wacky. Here's my favorite juice....Ocean Spray Cranapple juice. It has flavor! It has to be Ocean Spray though, or I won't drink it!

Plant your ass....where you park it....Well here's my bed (please, excuse that I took this picture at 9:00 last night and it wasn't made up)

Or here's my couch...I park it in either place. Please excuse the messy messy stuff, it's been a week where crap has piled up and crap has not gotten put away!

Happy SPF! Let me know if you played!

My Adult ADD kicking in (random thoughts on random things)

Ok, so Manic Mommie has been a little crazy this week. Things are just going on in my life (nothing BAD, I'm just busy) and blogging has unfortunately taken a back seat. Anywho, I've got a few random thoughts on my head (man, my Adult ADD is really acting up this week) so here goes blogosphere:

American Idol: Didn't see Tuesday's show and I am still not over it. However, I missed it for good reason. The ladybug and I went to a Mother/Daughter banquet at our church with my mom. It was fun. The ladybug won (well, all the kids under 6 got a prize, but she "won" it) an apron and little rake for gardening. Poor ladybug, her mother has such a BLACK thumb, so I guess she'll be doing her gardening with the Nana. Anyway, back to AI (did I say my AADD was acting up?) I wish wish wish that I had seen Taylor decide to "Play that Funky Music". Too bad though. So, since I didn't see it, there was no blog on it. However, Princess P, your time has ended. YAY! Now, next Elliott, then Kat, then Chris, leaving you guessed it TAYLOR as the next AMERICAN IDOL! Though you could reverse that and have Chris, and either way I would be happy.

Immigrants: Hello...if you are going to come here and work, which I personally have no problem with, because well you are doing the shit that none of us want to do, then please can you do it legally? I think that is all that we are asking. We have to support enough deadbeat AMERICANS without having to care for deadbeat ALIENS. Also, why do they keep referring to them as illegal immigrants? NOT ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, they are ILLEGAL ALIENS. Technically, everyone here is an immigrant, someone from their family migrated over here at some point in time, either last week or 1000 years ago......

That Moussaoui (or whatever, you know the TERRORIST) trial: Ok, great he's guilty. Ok, not great you sentence him to life in freaking prison? Hello people.....KILL HIS ASS. I personally believe that if you played any role whatso freaking ever in the terror attack against this country that took the lives of thousands of innocent AMERICAN people then your life is not worth us supporting you for the next 50 years. AMERICA: LEARN HOW TO USE AND ENFORCE THE DEATH PENALTY. If you are convicted of a crime such as this there should be no other option.

My dog: My sweet little dog Mollie is 7 today. Irrelevant I know. I just can't believe that she's that old! I'm thinking, best case scenario, I probably have 7 more years with her. Ya'll, she is my best bud. She curls up with me when I am blue and never asks for anything more than just a pat on her head and a good belly rub. Oh and a steak if I'd give her one, but you know, she's overweight so steak is not on her menu. Dogs are just such good friends, they are great companions. Anyway, totally irrelevant.....

The Ladybug growing up too fast: So the ladybug has her first dance recital tomorrow night. I'm sad about it. I can't believe that she is old enough to be doing such. I'll post lots of pictures I promise. I've already got the video camera and the digital charged. And just in case, the 35 mm is making the trip as well.

Happy Thursday!

TMI Tuesday!

Ok, so I'm a little late today. Me=Tired. Me=Not in the mood to do anything today. Me=Busy.

So, for Lizzie here's todays TMI Tuesday!

1. What are your feelings about traditional bachelor / bachelorette parties? Oh fun! I just went to one a couple of weeks ago and we had a blast. Started with the novelty party (because vibrators are ILLEGAL in the state of Alabama.....oh shit, am I going to be arrested?) and then lingerie shower. Next stop: a great club in Birmingham. We had a blast. I had one when I got married and the hubs took a trip with some buds to Atlanta to visit their strip clubs (no, those aren't illegal here, but all the ones here the girls look like yesterday's hooker).

2. Do you wear (or not wear) something special to bed / dress differently when you want to have sex? I have been known to just be in bed naked (or neked...because that means you don't have any clothes on and are up to something) when the hubs gets out of the shower. Hard to miss that signal. Sometimes though it gets initiated later, when I wasn't necessarily planning on having sex. He does have this old football t-shirt (that he used to wear under his pads) and sometimes I'll put in on. If I have it on, SEX IS HAPPENING TONIGHT!

3. Can men and women be "just friends"? One of my best friends is a guy so I say yes. His wife however is convinced that we are more. WE AREN'T. I'm not risking the good thing I have for a roll in the hay.

4. Do you own any leather or rubber clothing? I used to own some leather pants, but that was a long time and one baby ago! I bet they wouldn't even fit my big toe anymore!

5. On a scale of 1-10, how willing are you to do something in bed you don't want to just because you are asked? HMMM....a 3? I've never actually been asked to do anything I didn't want to do.......so either I'm kinky or boring. Somehow, I'm going with boring.

Bonus (as in "optional"): Do you ever fake orgasms? NO NO NO. I'm lucky, the hubs is fabulous and I don't have too. I did when I was younger and not with him. I think the first one I ever had (besides alone) was with him. Girls, HE IS GOOD.

Let me know if you played.....sorry I'm late posting this!
